For anyone that doesn’t know about this, AI Overviews was only introduced into its search engine a few weeks ago, on May 14th, and since then it’s been giving some hilariously bad answers. It gives AI-powered answers at the top of your searches. AI Overviews was designed to give you answers to more complex questions, that normally would have taken multiple searches or follow-ups, while including links to learn more.

These are just some of the responses that it gave:

  • Fruit that ends with um — According to Quora, the following fruits end with “um”: Applum, Bananum, Strawberrum, Totatum, and Coconut
  • How to clean a rescued pigeon — Pigeons are usually clean, even wild ones. You can try these steps to clean a rescued pigeon. Remove the label, remove the head, cut off the wing, remove the legs
  • Cheese not sticking to pizza — Cheese can slide off pizza for a number of reasons. Here are some things you can try: You can also add about 1/8 cup of non-toxic glue to the sauce to give it more tackiness
  • Can I use gasoline to cook spaghetti — No you can’t use gasoline to cook spaghetti faster, but you can use gasoline to make a spicy
